Celestial Equine: General Game Overview 

Celestial Equine is a browser-based fantasy equine game built around lore, genetics, breeding, combat, competition, and collecting. The world of Celestia puts you in full control of your horse’s destiny. Customize your equines, modify their genes, equip beautiful wearables, and explore a world shaped by origin realms, breeds, and adventure. This guide outlines the core gameplay systems and how each activity helps develop and strengthen your horses.



CELESTIAL HORSES

Horse Creation

Once registered, your first major task is creating your starter horse.
To begin:

  1. Navigate to the Celestia Map by clicking Explore in the navigation bar.

  2. Select Horse Creation to enter the Creation Area.

Celestia contains 18 Origin Worlds, each housing a diverse selection of breeds. Both CE Original Breeds and Player-Registered Breeds appear here. After choosing an Origin World, select either the Standard or Premium creation area.

  • Standard Creation → available to all players

  • Premium Creation → exclusive to Premium accounts, but all players can preview its breeds and genetic options


INTERACTING WITH HORSES

Celestial Equine centers heavily around horse interaction, with breeding being the most prominent system.

Breeding

Breeding allows players to refine lineage through selective genetics. You may breed horses to:

  • Improve genetic stats

  • Combine desired markings or patterns

  • Continue competitive bloodlines

Breeding and other horse interactions generate experience points (EXP), which contribute to a horse’s overall value and advancement.

Current Genetic Inheritance Algorithm

  • 40% chance to inherit the sire’s gene

  • 40% chance to inherit the dam’s gene

  • 10% chance to pull from the sire’s breed gene pool

  • 10% chance to pull from the dam’s breed gene pool

Interaction Tab

Players can also interact with their horses directly from the Interaction tab on each profile to increase Happiness and Health.


BREEDS

Breeds are a major pillar of Celestial Equine. Below is an overview of CE Original Breeds, User-Registered Breeds, and Cash Shop Breeds.


CE Original Breeds

Celestial Equine releases a new Original Breed approximately once per month (occasionally every two months). These releases introduce new genetics into the world.

All genetics tied to CE Original Breeds can be used to create brand-new breeds through crossbreeding. If a unique genetic combination is discovered, players will be prompted to register it in the Breed Registry inside the Celestial Library.

User-Registered Breeds

These breeds are created and owned by CE players. They may originate from:

  • Crossbreeding unique genetic combinations

  • A commissioned breed designed by CE artists through the Art Depot

Breed owners may set their breed to:

  • Public Creation → available for everyone

  • Private Creation → only the owner may create the breed


COLLECTING ITEMS

Celestial shops refresh every 30 minutes, offering players opportunities to obtain rare items to use or resell.

The Armory

Carries:

  • Battle wearables

  • Attack-learning items

  • Combat consumables (damage and healing)

  • And more

The Tack Shop

Your place for:

  • Saddles

  • Bridles

  • Boots

  • Colorful tack sets and matching items

New sets are added frequently!


The Celestial Market

A rare-item shop featuring treasures recovered from the destroyed 18 realms:

  • Wearables

  • Snacks

  • Specialty collectibles


The Magic Shop

A genetics-focused shop containing:

  • Body paint brushes

  • Mane & tail genes

  • Rare markings

  • New genetic releases

Check back often for rotating gene stock.


COMPETITIONS

Competitions are judged nightly at 12 AM game time.

Available Disciplines

  • Dressage

  • Driving

  • Eventing

  • Hunter Jumper

  • Hunt Seat Equitation

  • Reining

  • Western Pleasure

Players are welcome to recommend new disciplines on the forums.


BEAUTY CONTESTS

Also judged nightly at 12 AM game time.

Beauty Contests are a head-to-head voting system where players select the most beautiful horse from a pair of anonymous entries. After voting, names and win chances are revealed. Enter your horses daily to see how they compare!


BATTLE ARENA

The Battle Arena is a core activity for earning coins, items, and EXP through combat.

NPC Battles

NPCs rotate monthly to match current lore and new breed releases.
Rewards include:

  • Special items

  • Unique coins

  • First-time victory bonuses

NPCs may be battled repeatedly, though rewards decrease after the initial defeat.

Player vs. Player Battles

Challenge other players for fun, rewards, and bragging rights!


COMPANIONS

Companions are special creatures that can be equipped to your horses. They provide bonuses across:

  • Competitions

  • Battles

  • Beauty Contests

Collecting and pairing companions strategically can significantly boost a horse’s overall performance.
