PLACING AN ART ORDER

Welcome to one of the most unique features of Celestial Equine: The Art Depot! With Celestial Equine's Art Depot area, you can order and design your very own items, breeds, and genetics.

How to Place an Order

In our forums, we have three subtopics: Breed Orders, Genetic Orders, and Wearable Orders. For a full breed order, please create a new thread in the Breed Order topic. For specific genetic orders or recolors of an existing genetic, please use the Genetic Order topic. If you'd like a new wearable for your breed, or to place in one of Celestia's shops, please create a new thread in the Wearable Orders topic.

Placing a Breed Order

To create your brand new breed, start a new thread in the Breed Orders forum. Pricing will vary dependent upon the complexity of the breed, so please keep this in mind when commencing your new breed order. Celestial Equine will invoice you once the order is approved and your commissioned artist will get in touch with you after the order is accepted.

Please use the following standard form when creating your order:

Breed Name: the name of your new custom breed!

Reference: Line art or photo references are appreciated!

Desired Genetics for the Breed: Please include names and descriptions of the genetics you'd like to see. This section should include any wings, horns, markings, mane and tail descriptions, etc.

Default Base: This will be the default horse base players will see if you are creating a public breed.

Desired World: where you would like your breed to be placed in.

Certain additional information may be required for the order.

After providing the proper information, the commissioned artist will provide you with the cost and timing for completion. After the cost is confirmed, the artist will contact you directly for any further information.

Please note that the cost of your breed includes up to four recolors of each genetic. Extra recolors per genetic will be charged appropriately.

When an artist picks up your order, they will confirm pricing and time for completion. An invoice will be sent upon confirmation. A 50% down payment will be required when the order is commenced by the artist, and the remainder will be due upon artist completion before uploading to the site.

Placing a Genetic Order

Interested in ordering a new body color, wing type, or another genetic? Or are you searching for new recolors? Then the Genetic Orders subtopic is the place to create your order. Please use the following order form when requesting a new genetic:

Order forms should be filled out in their entirety and be as detailed as possible. This is vital for the quoting process. Concepts should be fully imagined and described for accurate quoting.

Please use the following order form when requesting a genetic:

Genetic type and the name of the genetic: (the name of the gene as you'd like it to appear ingame, and which genetic slot you would like this in)

Reference: (should be a lineart or another image depicting your idea)

Short description of the genetic: (describe requested genetic)

Genetic Colors: (a maximum of four colors with the name of each genetic's color)

Brushes: (can choose either a generic icon (default) or a custom icon ($1 per genetic and its color)

Attachments: (will the genetic be included in a pre-existing breed?)

Preferred Artist: (current artists or no preference)

Placing A Wearable Order

If you would like to create a new wearable item for a Celestia shop or for your breed, please place a new thread in this topic. In your post, please specify where you would like your new item to be: for private use, for a specific breed, or for a celestial shop. If it is for a shop, please specify which shop (general, magic, tack shop, or the armory) you would like it in, as well as how much you would like it priced.

How to Pay for your Order

All Art Depot orders will be invoiced via Paypal (no account required for express pay). Pricing has been updated to a USD rate! In addition to this revision in invoicing, we will also require 50% upfront payment to begin your commission.

General Pricing

New breeds generally begin from $100 and up. Breeds are priced accordingly to the amount of genetics, as well as the complexity involved, so please consider that when placing your order!

For new genetics, they begin from $30 and up, depending upon complexity and amount of recolors included. Please be as specific as possible when describing your order so the artist can provide an accurate quote. 

For recolors of pre-existing genetics, they begin from $8 and up, depending upon complexity and amount of recolors requested.

All new breed and genetic orders include up to four recolors of your concept. This does not apply for recolor orders.

Ordering Rules

We love the Art Depot (and know you all love it, too), so we have made a few changes to ensure the Art Depot continues to be a fun feature!

1. Orders may not be modified once a quote is given by the artist. This cuts down on confusion and keeps the quote valid for both the artist and player who has ordered the breed/genetic/wearable.

2. If you would like to add on additional genetics or items to an order, simply place a new order. This should be a new thread. We all love to add on to our awesome ideas, so feel free to keep building as you feel inspired!

3. The upload/release time for a completed order is contingent on the amount of completed orders currently on the upload list. An admin will let you know of the estimated release date on your order upon artist completion!

4. Orders that are less than $20 must be paid in full.

5. Any custom genetic or recolor order than is not paid in full within 3 months of the order being completed will result in the termination of the order and all artwork will be forfeit. Please contact @ellastasia should you find yourself in a situation to prevent forfeiture.

6. Any unpaid invoices or commenced orders wherein the player is no longer available will result in termination of the order. Unpaid invoice will be deleted. It is the player's responsibility and in their best interest to maintain communication with the CE art team @ellastasia.

7. All sales are final. Any edits requested after a gene is activated will require a new order.
